Q: When is the drop off or pick up time?
A: We schedule drop off/pick up times between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Saturday between 7:30am to 1:00pm and 4:30pm to 5:00pm
Sundays between 7:30am to 8:00am or 11:30am to 12:00pm or 4:30pm to 5:00pm
Q: What happens if my travel plans change, and I can't be there at my scheduled appointment time?
A: We understand that travel plans change due to the variables involved such as traffic, flight delays, etc. This is not a problem. Just give us a call or text Cindy, and we can choose a new time.
Q: Why do you schedule appointment times?
A: We are a very small and unique facility that cares for your pets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We do not want you to arrive and not be available to help you because we are caring for others. Appointment times allow us to plan our day and give each guest our undivided attention.
Q: What if I arrive outside of my scheduled time?
A: Obviously, if able, we will accommodate you to the best of our ability at that time. If there is a dog in the tub or we are on a nature walk, you may have to wait 30-45 minutes. We like to have all the dogs out and about with us and in the yard, so you might have to wait while we get everyone put up. You also might find the door locked if we have had to run business or personal errands.
Q: Are there any requirements of me or my pet?
A: All pets must also show proof of current vaccinations. Those vaccinations include Bordetella, DHPP, and Rabies and Canine Influenza for dogs; and FVRCP and Rabies for cats. And all pets must be parasite free. All pet owners must fill out a few forms of agreement before we can render any services to your pet. There is a page on our website to download and fill out these forms ahead of time if you wish (see Forms tab at the top of the page under Contact ). These forms include the Health Agreement, Boarding Agreement, and Grooming Agreement.
Q: Do we need to bring anything from home when my pet visits Heavenly Care Kennels?
A: Yes, we require that you bring a collar, lead, and harness (if you have one) for your pet. We provide premium bedding, toys, food, games, food and water bowls, and treats for our guests. You are always more than welcome to bring anything for your pet that will help them be more comfortable while staying with us. If they have a favorite toy, special treats, medication, specific food, etc. please bring them with you as well.
Q: Do I bring his/her food?
A: The price does include our food being served. We feed Purina Smart Blend, Beef & Rice. Some people prefer to bring their own food from home to keep him/her on the same diet. We do not charge extra to feed the food you bring.
Q: My dog is on medication, is that a problem?
A: No. We can dispense your medications as instructed, and there is no additional charge.
Q: How many times does my dog go out?
A: We let out a minimum of five (5) times per day. First let out starts at 7:00 am and the last let out done by 9:00 pm. They are exercised individually on what is best for that particular pet.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Heavenly Care Kennels is located in rural Westfield. It sits in the heart of 18 acres surrounded quietly by farm ground. The kennel is nestled at the wood's edge where there is easy access to the nature trails that winds through the woods and around the pond. Once you turn on our road (Lamong Road) going north, we are the third drive on the left. Our kennel sits a ways back from the road and has a long gravel driveway. Q: Do you offer any discounts or coupons?
A: Yes! We have our referral rewards program which is detailed on our REFERRALS page. We operate solely on word of mouth advertising, so we rely on our clients to pass the word along to their friends and family about Heavenly Care Kennels. To show our appreciate for you doing that, we give coupons for every new client you refer- you get a coupon as well as the person you referred. You can also sign up for our monthly newsletter for additional coupons and discounts.
Q: Will my dog/cat be interacting with other guests of Heavenly Care Kennels?
A: It is our policy NOT TO ALLOW pets from different families to "connect" unless ALL pet owners concerned have signed our consent form. If the form is not signed, your pet(s) will still receive all the attention, human interaction, play time, walks, etc. that he/she/they require; but we will ensure that your pet(s) does not come into contact with other guests.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Owner agrees to pay for all days reserved for the pets. Fees will be waived if owner gives a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the reservation in date notice or if we are able to fill your the area for the same days.
